Why Do We
Have This Toaster and Vacuum Cleaner Plugged into a Powervar?
To prove a simple point.
The purpose of Powervars is to protect your investment in
your P.O.S. system. This demonstration shows that when a UPS
(uninterrupted power supply) begins to beep, it is performing its
job. It is designed to provide consistent power to your P.O.S.
system to maximize the life of the hardware. In a situation
where there is a power spike or there is a loss of power, the battery
is designed to kick in and maintain consistent power. If your
UPS begins to beep, it could be a sign that you have a device on
the P.O.S. circuit causing surges in power. This could be
a new piece of equipment added to the restaurant after the system
has been put in, and it may be drawing too much power and causing
the UPS to sporadically beep. If this is happening to you,
it could be damaging your system and it should be dealt with immediately.
Please call us if you are having this issue.
