Daylight Savings Time and Aloha POS-Radiant Systems and Texas POS are committed to supporting our customers for the changes in the Energy Policy Act of 2005. One of the key provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was to extend Daylight Savings Time (DST) by approximately four weeks. In compliance with this provision, beginning in 2007, DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier, on the second Sunday in March (March 11,2007), and will end one week later on the first Sunday in November (November 4, 2007).
The Aloha software uses the Windows Runtime libraries to determine the date and time of Daylight Savings Time changes. If your restaurant has not already done so, action is required to ensure the time change occurs correctly on November 4, 2007.
If you did not go through the proper procedures in March to ensure the Daylight Savings Time change on your Aloha POS system, please contact our office at 713-896-0187 Ext 1.
