ePic video controller

The reliable ePic™ video controller was first introduced in 1998, when it set the industry standard for open ethernet kitchen management controllers. Today, thousands of hospitality companies of all sizes and concepts around the world rely on the ePic’s reliable, event-driven architecture to enhance kitchen operations and maximize revenue. With the application independent ePic controller, users can optimally run QSR’s ePic Kitchen Display Software (KDS), as well as third party kitchen applications.

Built specifically for the hospitality industry, the ePic offers extensive interfaces, the ability to operate at high temperature levels, and has no moving parts or fans to bring in grease-filled air. The ePic’s hardware architecture offers complete redundancy with no single point of failure and automated fail-over protection.

With its programmable flash memory, the ePic is easily configured using its intuitive management tool, RDS Console. A 32-bit windows-based graphical tool, the powerful RDS Console application is used to perform set up and maintenance functions. Not only is it easy to complete advanced diagnostics within the configuration, changes can be made in real-time and remotely from anywhere on the network through RDS Console, without taking the systems down.
