Palms
M & M: The Premier Banquet/Meeting Facility in Galveston!
Palms M & M opened its doors in 2004 in one
of the oldest structures standing in Galveston. This newly
renovated banquet/meeting facility is set in a building that has
a history going back to 1844 when it was purchased for $500.00.
Since then, M & M has been everything from a grocery store,
to a city detective's office, to a tobacco store, to a saloon. It
even survived the 1900 storm!
Marita Hlavaty, the event planner for Palms M &
M is dedicated to helping make any event a success. The facility
can accommodate up to 120 people, and there is also a large deck
in the back that can seat 40-60 people. They also boast a
25 foot bar built by a local craftsman in 1933 that can seat up
to 16 people. Palms M & M can plan your entire event from
food & beverage, flowers, photography and more. For more

Aloha
Introduces the Order Confirmation Display!
Radiant Systems
is pleased to announce the introduction of the Aloha Order Confirmation
Solution. It is positioned on a 5.5" color display
and faces the customer. It gives a line-by-line detail of
of the customer's entire order, speeding the ordering process
by enabling them to see their order as it is being entered and
correct errors before the order is submitted to the kitchen. In
addition, the display's advanced graphics capabilities enable
it to be used as a marketing platform to deliver information about
specials, promotions, and profitable up-sells directly to the
customer at the POS. The solid-state electronics provide

Are
you the General Manager of a restaurant who would like to be rewarded
for your many years of experience of working on an Aloha Point of
Sale System?
Texas P.O.S. is kicking off
a program to certify General Managers who believe they are proficient
enough to pass an Aloha test. The test would be administered
through our Web site, and the General Manager would have to score
a 90 or above to pass the test.
What is the Reward?
As an Aloha Certified General
Manager (ACGM), your restaurant receives free phone support, as
long as you are the person making the call. We just consider
it on-going education. This certification follows you for as long
as you maintain it as new Aloha versions are released. Please

On August
8, a tree directly in front of our office here at Texas P.O.S.
was struck by lightening. The lightening caused damage
to parts of our server.
As it is with your restaurant, it is important
that we maintain and protect our computer equipment with appropriate
power conditioning. With the use of conditioners in our
office, we were able to save the exchange server, the internet
server, all data, and every personal computer in the office. Although
we sustained damage to our router and network card, the cost of
replacing these is nominal compared to replacing thousands of
dollars worth of equipment and priceless vital data. For more

Solutions by Radiant Systems
Implementation of products to include all

UPGRADE
SPECIAL!
As of July 6, 2005, Radiant Systems is
the only POS provider included on Visa's List of Validated Payment
Applications, and Aloha is the only CISP validated software application.
However, to be compliant your restaurant must be running
Aloha version 5.3.15 or better.
Texas P.O.S. will be running several upgrade
packages to make it easy to be in compliance with Visa, and to
get you the latest Aloha software available.
